Pump or Dump 2021 – Cleveland Browns

Draft Season is here! Bestball Leagues are flowing! The NFL Preseason is upon us. DraftHustle is here to get you ready to dominate your drafts and get to the money and the trophies! This is part of a series I am titling "Pump & Dump". From each team, I will be choosing one player I am high on (Pump), and one player I am avoiding in fantasy drafts for the 2021 season (Dump). You can check out my rankings here!

PUMP – Austin Hooper, TE

NFFC ADP – TE25 (#190 Overall)

NDL Rank – TE20

Austin Hooper had a subpar 1st season with the Cleveland Browns. He had an appendectomy right before the season but was never able to fully bounce back. He comes into 2021 healthy and posied to have a bounce back. The Browns don’t have a reliable slot WR, leaving the middle of the field open for Hooper to put in work. He averaged 73/723/5 in his 2 years in ATL, and I expect him to approach those numbers and well outperform his current TE25 value.

DUMP – Kareem Hunt, RB

NFFC10 ADP – RB23 (#54 Overall)

NDL Rank – RB27

Kareem Hunt is currently the highest drafted handcuff I can recall ever since, well, Kareem Hunt in 2020. He is probably the most talented RB2 on any team in the league, but I just don’t feel comfortable drafting a backup RB as my fantasy team’s RB2 in the 5th round. If I am looking for an RB3 in the 6th round, Hunt will be on my radar, but no sooner.
